Born and raised in Crescent City, worked his whole life in construction. He was a wonderful, loving husband, father, uncle, teacher, mentor, and best friend. He believed in the gentleman’s handshake. He taught the old way’s while learning the new ones. He loved hunting, fishing, and riding his quad in the mountains. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Tammy R. Loftin, his sons: Richard C. Hughes, wife Petria; Kyle J. Loftin, wife Christine; and his 3 grandsons Riley C. Hughes, Luke J. Loftin, and Kole H. Loftin. He is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Joan Loftin..
