Carlton went home to be with the Lord on August 26, 2021. He was born on July 24, 1971 in Medford, OR. He spent his entire childhood in Central Point, OR.He graduated from Crater High in 1990. While in high school each summer he would attend Christian Youth in Action up in Portland, OR for a week.It is there that he met Anita Sapp. She became the love of his life and they married in 1993. They had 4 children Timothy, Samuel, Daniel and Elizabeth.It was in Brookings, OR that he started CAS and Sons Construction. He did roofing and construction. He just celebrated 25 years of business.Carlton was a people person who always had a ready smile and bountiful laugh.He loved fishing, camping and jet boating. He was Vice President of Curry County Republicans and Chaplain for State of Oregon’s Republican Party. Survivors include his immediate family, parents Chuck and Carolyn Strom, sister Cheryl (Devin) Conner, brother Craig (Stephanie) Strom, 2 nieces and 2 nephews.There will be a memorial service to honor Carlton at Calvary Heritage Church in Brookings, OR on October 9th at 2 p.m.That evening at 5:30 there will be a Celebration of Life party along the Winchuck River on Liles Drive.There will be a potluck dinner, a baptismal service, a dance and a open mic so people can share their stories about Carlton.
