Del Norte Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution recently recognized local businesses and public entities for regularly flying the flag of the United States of America.Wendy Malone, service for veterans chairman, awarded certificates to several businesses and organizations in Del Norte County, in keeping with the DAR Motto: God, Home, and Country. The DAR mission is Patriotism, Education and Historic Preservation, and throughout the year DAR recognizes community members for promoting these activities. For the decades that Debbi Ward has operated Del Norte Office Supply, the flag flies, and the outside, including the sidewalk, is patriotically decorated.Overall thanks and recognition go to every public and private entity that daily flies the flag and honors our nation.
