A foggy June Saturday morning found Del Norte Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution cleaning monuments at Beachfront Park at Front Street in downtown Crescent City. Regent Cori Higgins led a group of DAR members in their quest to clean monuments for their on-going historic preservation project. Monuments at Beach Front Park; Pebble Beach Drive; "Old Stage Road" at Elk Valley Road and Parkway Drive; Front Street; Peterson Park, and others in Crescent City/Del Norte County are much improved with the cleaning they receive at the hands of the Del Norte Chapter DAR members using the product D2. The local cemetery has benefited with a number of the headstones cleaned.
