Andy Larson, 69 years old, of Crescent City CA, passed away April 2, 2021 at OHSU in Portland OR.Andy was born July 1, 1951 in Ashland OR and was a resident of Crescent City CA at the time of his death. He graduated from Del Norte High School in 1969 and attended college in West Virginia and Sacramento CA. In addition to California; Andy had lived in West Virginia, Arkansas and Oklahoma.One of Andy’s proudest achievements was serving as the Director of Education for the Associated Builders and Contractors of Eastern Oklahoma, Inc, aka ABC. Andy was involved in establishing the ABC Pre-Apprentice Craft Training Program curriculum and was responsible for training hundreds of individuals. His love for teaching did not stop in Oklahoma. After moving back home to Crescent City; he started a handyman business. He enjoyed mentoring and felt that it was essential to teach and educate people because they are the future. Andy is known for his volunteering efforts in the community. His passion for helping people and businesses in a pinch echo throughout Del Norte County. The relationships he had with the people he worked with meant everything to him. Andy’s beaming personality and laughter will be missed.Andy is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Sandy Larson, son Lucas Larson, daughters Andrea Larson (partner Perry) and Kristen Freiwald (husband Zachary), stepdaughters Marci Beard and Christina Hood. 10 Grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, brother Alfred Larson (wife Heather) and sister Meri Sample. Andy will also be remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and dear friends.Andy was preceded in death by his father and mother, Alfred (Jake) & Edna Larson and sister Jo Green (Davis).A celebration of Andy’s life will be held at the Del Norte County Fair Grounds Arts and Craft Building, Saturday, April 24th at 2 p.m. To plant a tree in memory of Andrew Larson as a living tribute, please visit Tribute Store. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('ad-1515727'); });
