Last April, my husband and I had to cancel plans to revisit the redwoods and the Northwest coast after an absence of more than 40 years. The quality of your reporting and the way your paper threaded communities and people together is outstanding, to say the least. During a time when people seem to prefer to read and believe only what they want to hear as opposed to what they need to hear, you presented facts, spoke truth and provided a forum for civil discourse.
