Rogue Community College is offering a new short-term course this spring designed to help students prepare for entry-level jobs in the construction industry. The Construction Trade Fundamentals course will introduce students to basic fundamentals of residential construction. This course includes instruction and practice in the application of basic math skills for construction, job site safety, safe use and care of hand-tools and power tools as well as an overview of design, construction and working in the industry. The class is offered through RCC Continuing Education & Workforce Development and supported by a $50,000 grant from the RCC Foundation. "We've heard from industry partners that there's a tremendous need for skilled construction workers in the Rogue Valley. One of RCC's strengths is our ability to nimbly respond to industry needs and develop training programs that help the local workforce get skilled up and connected with jobs," said Diane Hoover, director of Continuing Education & Workforce Training. #placement_573654_0_i{width:100%;max-width:550px;margin:0 auto;}var rnd = window.rnd || Math.floor(Math.random()*10e6);var pid573654 = window.pid573654 || rnd;var plc573654 = window.plc573654 || 0;var abkw = window.abkw || '';var absrc = 'https://ads.empowerlocal.co/adserve/;ID=181918;size=0x0;setID=573654;type=js;sw='+screen.width+';sh='+screen.height+';spr='+window.devicePixelRatio+';kw='+abkw+';pid='+pid573654+';place='+(plc573654++)+';rnd='+rnd+';click=CLICK_MACRO_PLACEHOLDER';var _absrc = absrc.split("type=js"); absrc = _absrc[0] + 'type=js;referrer=' + encodeURIComponent(document.location.href) + _absrc[1];document.write('');The class will meet at the Table Rock Campus in White City.
