On March 8th, 2021, Barrick Zachary Sala Swepston, a loving son, brother, and friend, passed away at the age of 27. Barrick was born in Bakersfield, CA, but grew up in Crescent City, CA, where he loved to participate in football, wrestling, and exploring the outdoors. In adulthood he moved to Wagoner, OK, where he lived with his father and spent his time hunting, fishing, and hiking. Barrick had a very creative spirit and loved to find the beauty in nature - even when it meant dragging his family members along for the adventure. Barrick loved and embraced his Cherokee heritage. Following their beliefs, his spirit has traveled to the source of the Illinois River and returned underground to transition to the spirit world. Barrick is survived by his parents Angie Boswell and Brian Swepston, step-parents Rusty Sala and Patty Swepston, and siblings Cassidy, Clara, and Sawyer Sala, whom he loved with all his heart.A private service has been held in Wagoner, OK for family members.
