A former Del Norte Unified School District athletic director is behind bars in Josephine County, Oregon, on charges he sexually assaulted a 17-year-old girl in late January.Jay Reese, who served as the district’s athletic director from September 2019 to April 2020, was arrested Tuesday on two counts of sex abuse in the second degree.According to information released by the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety, Reese, who is 60, met the teen Jan. 28 at a Walmart in Grants Pass. The police allege Reese took the girl from Walmart to his home.According to the police report, the girl stayed overnight at Reese’s home. The school district is cooperating fully with Grants Pass police.
