Del Norte Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution gathered Jan. 23 for a Community Clean-Up event. Putting the DAR motto, "God, Home and Country," into action, the volunteers cleaned around the POINT OF HONOR to the adjacent parking lot area.With the recent high tides, winter rains and winds, a variety of unsightly debris had accumulated throughout the clean-up area. The volunteers spent hours of their Saturday diligently cleaning the area that is highly visible to residents, visitors to town and travelers driving through the community.
