Dennie Leighton Kaye Sanderson, 34, a lifelong resident of Crescent City, California, unexpectedly passed away on January 8, 2021.He is survived by his young son Isaiah Leighton Tru Sanderson, his parents David Sanderson and Karla Jones, his siblings David Jr. “Bert” and Julie Sanderson, Steffanie Southard and Brad, Zane and Destanee Gray, Dillion Jones and countless nieces and nephews, and family and friends that will miss him greatly.Denie was preceded in death by Dale Sr. And Donna Sanderson, Ronald and Marion Jones, Dale Sanderson Jr., Dennie Kaye Sanderson and Ryan Sanderson.Dennie was a loving son, brother, father, and uncle. He was born on October 22, 1986, and grew up in Del Norte County. He went to school here and graduated from Pacific View Charter School in 2005. He loved everything life had to offer. Dennie loved spending time with his son, Isaiah, watching him play and grow. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting with his family. Dennie participated in all traditional cultural activities such as brush dances and stick games. He enjoyed music and boxing and was a dedicated 49ers fan.Services and arrangements are being coordinated through Wier’s Mortuary.
