Gisela Hildegard Neumann was born and raised in Germany. In 1964, she moved to San Jose, California. In 1967, she married Warren Rosengren.After she retired as a state hospital nursing superintendent, they moved to Crescent City in 1994.Gisela enjoyed gardening, photography, crafts (quilting, knitting, crocheting and painting), walking on the beach and reading.A former member and officer of the Sunrise Garden Club, Gisela helped with club projects at the nursing home, senior center, museum and harbor.She was a certified master gardener.Gisela is survived by her husband, sons Eric and Martin, four grandchildren (Zachary, Marci, Jonathan and Patrick) as well as in Germany by her sister Christa Ebel, nephews Wolfgang and Peter Ebel, niece Susanne Ebel, three grandnephews and a grandniece.She was preceded in death by her brother Carl-Friedrich and Sister Ursula Zollman.Gisela died after suffering several lengthy illnesses.Those wishing to donate in her memory are asked to consider the Humane Society.
