Former Brookings resident Jonathan C. Gehrig has written a book, “A Son’s Promise,” and will be in town for a book signing on Nov. 14 at 11 a.m. at the Port near the Bells and Whistle coffee shop.Gehrig lived in Brookings from 1991 to 2013, during which he worked at South Coast Lumber and Pacific wood Laminates for 21 years. He was featured in a story about single fathers in the June 17, 1995 edition of the Pilot.
