Dennis Boyd Conger passed away peacefully at home on October 1st, 2020. Born April 17, 1947 in Taft, California, Dennis spent the last 41 of his 74 years in Crescent City, California. He graduated from Willow Glen High School in 1965. On March 16, 1979 Kat and Dennis exchanged vows in an expression of love and became Man and Wife.Dennis dedicated his career to helping people. Working at Rural Human Services for 23 years is just one example of the ways Dennis touched peoples’ lives as an agent of change. Kat and Dennis were instrumental in the beginnings of Harrington House and many other local social service endeavors. Klamath River Early College of the Redwoods was also a place where he used his skills to do what he loved; helping people. At home, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, and spending time with his cats (most of which he named after Lord of the Rings characters).Dennis is preceded in death by his wife Kat, survived by his two sons Jason Conger, Zak’ry Conger, two daughters-in-law Amy Conger and Kallie Conger, and 5 grandchildren: Jordan, Morgan, Madison, Aiden, & Benjamin.A private family celebration of life will be held.
