Martha Janet Kennedy was born March 2, 1926 in Hubbard, Texas, to Lawrence and Ara Lois (Boaz) Kennedy and passed away September 30, 2020. She graduated from Lubbock (Texas) High School class of 1942, received her Bachelor Degree in Education in 1963 from California State University – Fresno, California, and taught school from 1963 – 1988 for the Sanger Unified School District.She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Lawrence Kennedy Jr. And Edwin Kennedy of Hobbs, NM and her husband Edwin O. Fleshman of Crescent City, California.She is survived by her children Charles Merker (Vickie), Pamela Perez (Steven), and brother James Kennedy (Janetta). Step-children, Alyce Pearson (Patrick), Nicole Stout (Jeff), ed Fleshman (Heidi), Bryan Fisher (Debbie), Sharon Fischer, and families. Grandchildren Denise Rusk, Sarai Larson (Jon), Abigail Perez, Laurie Collins (Stephen), Lance Merker, Chris Merker (Brittany), and families.Remembrance may be made to her church – Church of the Nazarene c/o Pastor, Bob Wheeler, PO Box 1752, Crescent City, CA 95531.Intermit will be at Clovis Cemetery, Clovis, CA.
