Are you interested in learning more about the weather while also helping the National Weather Service accomplish its mission?If so, NWS Eureka is offering online spotter training sessions in October. The classes are 3 and 7 p.m. Oct. 8 and 7 p.m. Oct. 14. Training includes a basic overview of thunderstorms and other local weather phenomena, as well as how to properly identify and report these features.
