Opal Louise Freudenthal, 86, passed away at home, surrounded by her family, on September 19, 2020. Born in Arkansas on September 11, 1934, Opal moved to Smith River at the age of 18. There she met and married the love of her life, Loren Freudenthal. They had four children which they raised in Smith River.Everyone who knew Opal knew the kind, loving person she was. She was passionate about spending time with her grandchildren. Opal loved gardening and could grow anything and took pride in her beautiful yard.She is preceded in death by her parents, late husband Loren, and son Robby.Surviving her are daughters Shelley Haynes, Diana Wallace (husband Jim), Dorothy Freudenthal and her loving nephew Tony Delacruz who helped her much over the recent years. She has seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews whom adored her.Our mom will be sorely missed by many.Services will be held at Wier’s Mortuary Chapel on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 12 noon.Immediately following is an open house barbeque at Opal’s home.Arrangements are under the direction of Wier’s Mortuary Chapel.Please sign the family’s online guest book at wiersmortuary.com.
