Additional active and confirmed cases have been reported in both Del Norte and Curry counties this week.The Del Norte County Public Health Branch reported 7 new positive cases of COVID-19 since Sept. 10. Six have been identified to be a close contact to a known case of COVID-19, and one was identified to be travel-related. Currently there are no hospitalizations.According to California Department of Public Health, the state has confirmed 762,963 cases with 14,615 fatalities as of Sept. 15.Curry CountyCurry County Public Health reported two new positive cases of COVID-19 this past week with one each on Sept. 10 and 12. Both cases have been confirmed by the Public Health Officer through lab results. In addition, both cases are Curry County residents who are self-isolating at home and monitoring symptoms.As of September 16, the total number of positive cases in Curry County stands at 26, with 20 recovered cases and 6 active.
