Four new arts classes for veterans, active military and family members are offered by the Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness. Three of the classes will be held in person in Crescent City and the fourth will be held online via Zoom. Due to gathering size restrictions, only nine students are allowed in each in-person class at this time. Social distancing with masks is required. Learn how poetry and art have influenced each other in various ways. Explore differing forms of poetry, and then write your observations and experiences using these poetic techniques. All levels of writers are welcome. Classes will be held in person on Wednesdays at 4 p.m. from Sept. 9 through Oct. 28. • Watercolor Painting for Veterans is a workshop focused on watercolor techniques with teaching artist Sara Broderick. All levels of artists are welcome. Classes will be held in person Thursdays at 4 p.m. from Sept. 10 through Oct. 29.
