As many parts of California suffer from a heat wave and power companies have in some cases turned off electricity, the company serving Del Norte County issued a statement this afternoon that it does not plan any outages.Pacific Power serves communities in Oregon, Washington and Northern California. In addition to Crescent City, the company serves Dunsmuir, Yreka and Mount Shasta in California.In a release today, the company said service and safety are top priorities for Pacific Power."The company is aware utilities in California are notifying customers of potential rotating power outages. Because of Pacific Power’s integrated energy system and expansive grid, the company is able to provide the always-on power its customers need, now more than ever.
