The Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office reports of a phone scam involving local businesses.According to the sheriff’s office, local business are being contacted and asked for information specific to how much money they keep in their registers and current staffing levels.The callers are claiming to be local law enforcement, including the Crescent City Police Department and Del Norte County Sheriff's Office.According to the DNSO, local law enforcement personnel are not making these phone calls.
