In honor of Donna Thompson’s 83rd birthday week, the Tolowa Dunes Stewards will work to restore the Big Dune in Tolowa Dunes State Park from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 16.Volunteer Sandra Jerabek said no one has given longer or more generously to the hands-on restoration of native dune habitat — and the dependent native bees, wildflowers and birds — than Thompson.
