The Elk Valley Rancheria and Tolowa Dee-Ni Nation are two local tribes slated to receive a share of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s $15 million Indian Community Development Block Grant Imminent Threat program funds. The program is designed to help address problems that pose an imminent threat to public health or safety of tribal residents. This funding will specifically be used to help tribes prevent, prepare for, and respond to COVID-19.
