Hoping to attack weeds that have taken hold in sidewalks, curbs, and gutters through Crescent City, Roger Gitlin has formed a volunteer group, Pride in Community (PIC), which will begin work at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1. Gitlin, who represents District 1 on the Del Norte County Board of Supervisors, noted that the city is facing tough financial times because of the closure of motels and short-term vacation rentals due to COVID-19 restrictions.
