Peggy Mayle passed away in her home she loved and cherished on May 10, 2020. She was born in Crescent City on December 13, 1955 to John and Eleanor McMillan. Peggy grew up on the McMillan ranch in Klamath, California enjoying a lifetime of memories along with her sister Kathy Cole and her brother Brian McMillan. She spent her entire life in Del Norte County except for two years in Eureka while attending College of the Redwoods. Peggy was married to Dick Mayle in 1980 and in 1984 moved into her home on Tan Oak Drive.Peggy fondest memories were raising our children, Dan and Will. She looked so forward to the summer months when the kids would start in in the morning about taking them to our local swimming hole. We always had a yard full of neighbor kids, also enticed by her skills of baking treats that were always available. Peggy also cherished spending times with her nieces and nephews considering them one of her own. Those who new Peggy admired her gardening skills. They not only enjoyed visiting her yard full of flowers, but also being a recipient of the wonderful bouquets she delivered to her friends and family.One of the favorite sayings about Peggy is “she never met a stranger”. She always had a warm smile and plenty of stories to tell. She loved entertaining which always included a wonderful meal.It is sad to say due to the current health crisis there can be no gathering for a celebration of life. The family appreciates the outpouring of love through cards and social media.
