Public Health debuts COVID-19 testing site Friday

Del Norte County Public Health and the Office of Emergency Services announced today it has partnered with the Del Norte Unified School District, State of California and Verily to open a new community-based testing site (CBTS) to expand COVID-19 testing for Del Norte residents.Drive thru testing is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Del Norte High School. Beginning next week, testing is Mondays through Wednesdays and in the future it is hoped to expand the program to bring testing to outlying communities.This is a free service to help protect the public health and safety of the community. Based on the COVID-19 screener and testing appointment availability, individuals will be provided a testing location appointment.
