Jeffrey Daniel Walsworth was born in Los Baños, California on April 22, 1982. He moved to Crescent City shortly after and remained here until he lost his hard fought 15-month battle with cancer on March 8, 2020.Jeff graduated from Del Norte High School where he played on the golf team and met many lifelong friends. Jeff loved the ten years he worked as a firefighter both for the Smith River Fire Department and National Forest Service, as well as the six years he spent exploring the country as a commercial truck driver.Jeff loved fishing, hiking, spending time at the river, and telling fishing stories with his many friends. Jeff had a way of making friends everywhere he went. No matter what Jeff was going through he always knew how to put a smile on your face.Jeff was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He is survived by a long list of family including parents Jim and Joyce Walsworth, siblings Lynne Salas, Scott and Kevin Walsworth, and a string of broken hearts.The family will be holding a private celebration of life.
