Editor, I recently went through a very hard and emotional task of having to bury my father at the local cemetery in Crescent City. My mother and father’s headstone is located on the very far west side of the Catholic section.For quite some time now, I have noticed a very large homeless encampment that is directly adjacent to my parent’s marker. Numerous trails lead in and out of this area, along with garbage, tarps and wooden structures.To put it simply, this should not, and cannot be accepted. I find it extremely disrespectful.A cemetery is supposed to be a place for family and friends to pay respect for their lost loved ones without having to observe this.
