Richard D. Williams, also known as “Archie Bunker” to his closest friends, passed away peacefully February 13, 2020 surrounded by his family in Crescent City, CA.He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara of 57 years, his brothers Glen and Laverne, and his granddaughter Lois.He had many accomplishments in his life. He served in the Navy and retired from Simpsons Timber. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and also coached children in bowling.Richard and Barbara always had an open door when help was needed for family and friends. In addition to his family, he had many “adopted children” over the years, affecting many lives in his lifetime.He is survived by his three children, Bobby, Debra, and Lynette. Five grandchildren, Allen, Samantha, Christine, Steven, and Melissa. Six great grandchildren, Jewel, Nevaeh, Athena, Eli, Alex, and David. Three sisters, Carroll, Judy, and Mariellen, and numerous nieces and nephews. At his request, there will be no services. The family has decided to do a celebration of life to honor both Richard and Barbara on their anniversary at a later date.
