Harry Floyd Albin, 88, of Crescent City, California passed away peacefully with his family by his side on, February 29, 2020. He was born on September 13, 1931 in Kerby, Oregon to Louis and Lelia Albin. Harry was the youngest of eight children: Sterling, Joe, Gladys, Pansy, Lelia, Adrian and Louie.Harry served in the U.S. Navy from 1955- 1957 during peace time on the USS Bremerton. He enjoyed seeing Japan, Hawaii, Australia and the Pacific Islands during his time in the service.Harry married the love of his life, Margie McGregor on September 28, 1957. He was a loving and devoted father to his children Brenda and Lonnie. Harry worked as a commercial fisherman for many years. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage and playing with his beloved dog Tinkle. He had a great sense of humor and love for telling stories. Above all he loved his family.Harry leaves behind his wife of 63 years Margie Albin; his daughter Brenda Torgersen of Crescent City, CA; his grandchildren Amand Kruschke (Dean) of Eureka, CA; James Albin (Laura) of Silverdale, WA; Loren Torgersen of Graham, WA; Sonja Albin (Jeff) of Sacramento; his nine great grandchildren Samantha, Elizabeth, Payton, Kalvin, Kyler, Reece, Adelyn, Sadie and Gunnar; close friends Kris Bowers and Stephen Guaranschelli.He is preceded in death by parents, siblings, father-in-law James McGregor, mother-in-law Clara McGregor, son Lonnie Albin, and son-in-law Arne Torgersen.The family will be memorializing Harry in private.Arrangements are under the direction of Wierโs Mortuary Chapel.Please sign the familyโs online guest book at wiersmortuary.com To plant a tree in memory of Harry Albin as a living tribute, please visit Tribute Store. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('ad-1515727'); });
