Charles Fredrick McCuan 77, passed away on January 29, 2020. He was born February 15, 1942 in Long Beach California. Fred lived most of his life in the Los Angeles area and worked as a plumber. He later moved to Crescent City, California in 2000, continuing plumbing.Fred served in the U.S. Army for three years and spent eighteen months in Alaska during the “Great Alaska Earthquake”.His hobbies were stamp collecting, record collecting, antique collectables and cars. Fred loved Star Trek and Scifi.He was involved in the Boy Scouts of America for over 50 years. Fred was Scout Master of Troop 394 for eight years. He has been awarded the “Silver Beaver” and the “Award of Merit”. Fred helped over 60 young men in their quest for Eagle Scout.Fred is also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a 3rd degree Master Mason with the Crescent City Masonic Lodge #45.Fred will be remembered for the great person he was.
