By Roger Gitlin – EYE ON DEL NORTE – October 21, 2022 EYE ON DEL NORTE has received a communication from the Del Norte Sheriff 's Employee Association it has NOT endorsed appointed Supervisor Susan Masten for the position of Fifth District Supervisor. The DNSEA respectfully demands a retraction. One of the Association's members appeared in a radio ad in support of the candidate, as an INDIVIDUAL. The ad was followed by a political ad in the Triplicate. Friday, October 21. The Del Norte Sheriff's Employee Association has not, and does not plan to poll its members on any political endorsements. Candidate Masten has signed a Promise to adhere to a high ethical standard in campaigning for office and is in violation of Candidate Pledge to make truthful representations.
