She met and married Robert Dahlhoff (April 28, 1956) and started a family with the birth of their first son Eric. Son Geoff followed, then daughter Kirsten, and son Greg. After a move to Chicago she bore her last son Chris. She was a devoted and caring mother to her five children while Robert worked for IBM, which asked them to move to New York for a period, then out to California in 1970. Patricia and Robert raised their children to be responsible and independent, and to value and respect people of all kinds. Using her creative talents, she worked as type-setter and designer at Village Printers in Los Gatos while the kids went to school.Patricia was a naturalist at heart, loved to hike and explore, and had a love and compassion for all people. She would openly support and give to a list of charities that respected the dignity of native American’s, the underserved, and for the preservation of our local and national parks. She was a self-professed “rock hound”, and appreciated the treasures that nature created. She was a talented artist who enjoyed painting emotion, beautiful landscapes and the simplicity of a meandering branch. She dabbled in water colors, dots, and charcoal. She also loved to work with clay, making sculptures and ornate mugs and bowls. She always chose to appreciate the beauty in life, and this was reflected in the things around her, and where she chose to live.A frugal woman was she, saving, collecting, and organizing her modest possessions. While at the same time, thoughtful of and generous with others. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends, but her influence and memories never forgotten.A private reception was held in her honor at her son’s home in Atwater, CA.
