Sara Mae Twigg, 94, passed away in Burlingame, CA on December 26, 2019. She was born in Crescent City, CA on July 2, 1925. She attended Humboldt State University and graduated from San Jose State as an occupational therapist. Sara was employed at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles and San Francisco UC Medical Center for cerebral palsy children. She went to San Francisco State for a teaching degree and worked at Hillsboro School District and San Bruno School District. Sara later became a special education teacher. She taught for 45 years and retired at the age 80 from teaching.Sara loved teaching children, animals gardening, bonsai trees and doing art work and painting.
