Del Norte County is taking part in the national Point in Time Count from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Jan. 28 at the Veterans Hall, 810 H St. in Crescent City.The Point in Time Count is an annual nationwide event scheduled for one day in January, as prescribed by the Housing and Urban Development for Continuum of Care organizations.Organizers conduct surveys of the county’s sheltered and unsheltered homeless population in an effort to identify and understand the needs related to homelessness.The Department of Health and Human Services, along with volunteers and community organizations, coordinate the event in Del Norte County.
