The Crescent City Housing Authority said it received a $52,512 grant in December to assist local homeless veterans in finding housing. In a press release, U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein reported that 27 cities in California will be given a total $10.5 million in grants from the Housing and Urban Development’s Veterans Administration Supportive Housing Program, which includes Crescent City. The city’s housing authority, which assists low-income families with their rent, reserves 18 federal HUD vouchers for homeless veterans.
