Vehicle was towed; report to follow.Previous Pilot Coverage posted at 2:45 p.m. Dec. 17The Brookings Police have released limited details following a vehicle crash into a gasoline station along Highway 101.According to police investigators, Kyle Wallace, of Gold Beach, was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 101 at 3 a.m. on Dec. 17 when the 21-year-old’s white, 2006 Buick LaCrosse left the roadway, drove across the sidewalk and went down an embankment into the Fred Meyer parking lot in Brookings, before striking a fuel pump.Both Wallace’s vehicle and the Fred Meyer pump island were extensively damaged.Investigators said Wallace was transported to the Brookings Emergency Department for treatment. No other injuries were reported.
