Maxine went to be with the Lord at 90 years old, peacefully in her own home.She was born in Braddock ND on Jan 20, 1929 to Olaf & Ella Hedblad. She was one of 12 children, including her twin Martha.She graduated high school and married Lewis Phillips in 1948. They eventually settled in Crescent City, Ca in 1959.Together they had 9 children. Maxine worked in the fisheries until her retirement in 1990. She was a loving, kind, and caring person, most of all the best mother and grandmother and she will be missed dearly.Maxine was preceded in death by her husband Lewis, daughter Mary Ellen Lewis, mother and father Olaf and Ella, and siblings, Julia, Oscar, John, Alice, Andrew, Ruth, Helen, and Marjorie.She is survived by her children, Marcella (Steve) Hamilton, Judith Morrison, Darold Phillips, David (Toni) Phillips, Carl (Marilyn) Phillips, Richard (Rhonda) Phillips, John Phillips, and Melody (Paul) Barnes. 19 grandchildren, (1 on the way), and 23 great grandchildren. Siblings Ethel, Martha (Wayne).A Celebration of Life will be held at The Refuge Christian Fellowship, 1230 Blackwell Lane, Crescent City, Ca on 12/07/19 at 2:00pm. Friends and Family are welcome.
