In the end, we felt that Stephanie La Torre brought a wealth of arts experience, local knowledge, and a long-term vision for ways to maintain and grow our programs.”La Torre most recently worked as an account executive at Bicoastal Media, and has an extensive background in the nonprofit sector, event planning and performing arts.La Torre also has coursework in theater and history from Fullerton College, and has toured the West Coast as a vocalist.“As a lifelong artist myself, I’m thrilled to be working with DNACA,” La Torre said in a press release.During the transition time between Wenning’s departure and La Torre’s arrival, Wenning has been working remotely as the group’s executive director, keeping all programs running. A temporary, part-time administrative assistant has provided regular office hours to the public and aided in a multitude of onsite tasks.La Torre’s first day as executive director is Saturday, with office hours of 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
