Oregon-based Country Media Inc. purchased The Triplicate, and the Curry County Pilot in Brookings, out of bankruptcy on July 1. Let’s face it, we almost lost The Triplicate.“If this bill passes and is signed by the governor, it could mean the end of many more newspapers.” AB 5 indeed was passed and signed into law.Hungerford said The Triplicate will be arriving by mail sometime in the afternoon, rather than on the doorstep first thing in the morning.
