Hubert a beloved Father, Grandfather, Husband & Brother has joined the Angels and God in Heaven as of Aug 20, 2019. Born in El Centro, Ca. Died in Crescent City, Ca. He moved to Crescent City in 2008. He was battling health issues for the last month after a fall and was never able to make a full recovery.He was an active member of St Joseph’s Church and served as a sachristarian there for many years. He served as a ordained minister at St. Dominic Savio church for many years. He was a telephone installer for many years for Western Electric, AT&T, Lucent technologies. Hubert was a Naval Veteran. He was a Boy scout leader for troop 37 in Bellflower, Ca. He was an active AARP member and Knights of Columbus member.He belonged to the Holy Name Society of Bellflower, Ca. He was also a CCD teacher for many years. He loyally donated to Catholic Extensions, Sacred Heart Missions, Shriners Hospital, St Joseph and St Dominic Savio parishes. Hubert is survived by his Son Robert Gering, Crescent City, Ca, Daughter, Sheryl Snow Crescent City, Ca. Grandchildren, Koury M. Snow, Ryden F. Snow, Lara G. Snow and Caylee E. Snow, Brother and Sisters Robert & Diane Gering of Concordia, KS, Catherine & Richard Chamberlain of Harper, KS and Margaret & Fred Gillen of Maryland. He joins his Father and Mother, Roy and Helen Gering, Sister, Maryann Lang and Wife, Shirley K. Gering in heaven. He was an amazing man and served God well here on earth. We love you.Viewing and Rosary was held in Bellflower, Ca. on September 4th at Whites Funeral home. Funeral held in Bellflower, Ca at St. Dominic Savio Church on Sept 5, 2019Buried at Holy Cross Cemetary in Culver City, Ca he joins Shirley K.
