Dear Editor: As a new resident to the north coast, having moved here just under a year ago, I am enchanted with the rugged beauty and the weather. It sure beats the 100-degree days in the Sacramento Valley.What hurts, though, is going down to any of the wonderful beaches with my dogs and seeing trash everywhere. I was schooled by friends here, right after my arrival, to carry a trash bag and pitch in if I could. I do, and see others doing the same.Most days, there are just small items here and there. Some days, nothing; and that’s reassuring.
