Submitted By Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association – August 29, 2022 The State Board of Equalization’s (BOE) 2022 Taxpayers’ Bill of Rights Hearing is tomorrow, Tuesday, August 30, 2022, beginning at 10:00 AM. Taxpayers are invited to present ideas and concerns on property taxes and the Alcoholic Beverage Tax. Anyone can participate in-person, by phone, or submit comments online. For more information, visit the Taxpayers' Bill of Rights Hearing webpage. The BOE is responsible for property tax programs, the Alcoholic Beverage Tax, and ax on Insurers. All taxpayers and stakeholders will have the opportunity to comment on the Taxpayers’ Rights Advocate’s Fiscal Year 2020-21 Annual Report or share suggestions, comments, or concerns on California’s property tax system and the Alcoholic Beverage Tax before the elected Board Members.
