On Wednesday, July 31st, Jean “Jeannie” McAllister, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 63 due to several ongoing health issues.Jeannie was born on August 19, 1955 in Hartford, CT to Vincent McAllister and Dianna Gosselin. She married Daniel Hall in 1980 and raised a son, Jake, and daughter, Amanda.Jeannie was a free spirit who was outgoing and friendly to everyone. Some of her adventures included hopping freight trains across the country, working for traveling carnivals, living along the Klamath River, exploring most of the continental US, and finally settling in Crescent City, CA. She enjoyed listening to music and spending time with her family and friends. She was known for her devil-may-care attitude and deep concern for those around her, human and animal alike.Jeannie was preceded in death by her father, Vincent McAllister, brother, Michael McAllister, sister, Patricia McAllister and former husband, Daniel.She is survived by her son, Jake, her daughter, Amanda, and her mother, Dianna, along with many grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews.A wake will be held on Friday, September 13th, 2019 at Florence Keller County Park beginning at 12:00 pm.
