Jack Bradley was the overall winner of Aug. 18’s 34th-annual Crescent City Triathlon and Duathlon.There were 136 total participants in the two events this year, up from 117 last year.The triathlon featured three events: swimming 500 yards indoors at the Fred Endert Municipal Pool; biking 12 miles; and finishing with a 3.1-mile run.Bradley won with a time of 1 hour, 2 minutes and 55 seconds.Megan Smallwood of Seal Rock, Oregon, was the top finishing woman, and third overall, with a time of 1:06:25.Clay Speaker of Crescent City had the best finish of the local racers, coming in 11th overall in 1:14:35.Linda Blundell of Crescent City finished in the top five for women, and 15th overall, with a time of 1:17:39.The duathlon also had three legs: a 3.1-mile run; a 12-mile bike ride; then another 3.1-mile run.Samual Dannenbring of McKinleyville, California was the overall winner of the duathlon, with a time of 1:08:58.Jennifer Dannenbring, also of McKinleyville, was the first female to finish the duathlon, in 1:26:15.For a complete list of winners and participants, go to https://raceday.enmotive.com/#/events/2019-crescent-city-tri-du/results. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('ad-1515727'); });
