Press Release From CalTrans – October 10, 2025 The following scheduled roadwork has been verified at the time of release. Del Norte County U.S. 101 (8.5/10.9) – Utility work is scheduled south of Trees of Mystery beginning Monday, September 15 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C101XC U.S. 101 (12.2/13.8) – Emergency work is scheduled between Wilson Creek Bluff and Rudisill Road weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays. Expect up to 15-minute delays. LC#C101DD U.S. 101 (35.8/36.5) – The Dr. Fine Bridge Replacement Project is scheduled between the Smith River Overflow Bridge and S. Fred D. Haight Dr. weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Travelers should expect 10-minute delays. LC#C101WA U.S. 199(9.3) – Emergency work is scheduled near the Middle Fork Gorge River Access. Expect up to 15-minute delays. LC#C199DA Humboldt County Route 36 (4.4/4.6) – Construction upgrades near Carlotta are scheduled to continue. Expect 15-minute delays weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. LC#C36IA Route 36 (11.5) – Bridge work is planned at the Hely Creek Bridge on Friday, October 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should expect 10-minute delays. LC#C36UA Route 36 (15.7/16.3) – Slide response west of Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park will continue. Delays of up to 2 hours are possible weekdays. Check β€œCaltrans District 1” social media and QuickMap for the latest information. LC#T36HA Route 36 (19.6) – Emergency work west of Maple Grove will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Travelers should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C36JA Route 36 (23/23.2) – Emergency work is scheduled west of Bridgeville on October 10 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Expect up to 20-minute delays. LC#C36FA Route 36 (23.0/23.2) – Drainage work is scheduled west of Bridgeville beginning Monday, October 6. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Expect up to 15-minute delays. LC#C36KA Route 36 (25.3/34.5) – Bridge work is scheduled between Little Larabee Creek Bridge and Butte Creek Bridge 4-116. Motorists should expect 10-minute delays. LC#C36UA Route 36 (41.4/45.7) – Permit work is scheduled near Dinsmore at various locations extending to the Trinity County line. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#P36BA Route 96 (11/12.3) – Utility work is scheduled in Hoopa near Loop Road. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Expect up to 10-minute delays. LC#C96BA U.S. 101 (17.7/19.4) – Maintenance is scheduled south of Phillipsville on October 6 and October 7. Lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#M101QA U.S. 101 (53.8) – Utility work is scheduled at the Eel River Bridge. A northbound lane closure is in effect. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101YC U.S. 101 (74.7/76.1) – Construction north of the Herrick interchange will continue. Expect slowdowns due to lane and periodic driveway closures. LC#C101CC U.S. 101 (78/79) – Electrical work is scheduled in Eureka from A Street to O Street. Lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Motorists should expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101BD U.S. 101 (80.2/83.4) – Paving is scheduled north of Eureka near the Indianola Cutoff. Work will take place nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Lane closures will be in effect. Expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101FD U.S. 101 (93.9/100.7) – Utility work is scheduled between Airport Road and the Trinidad Road Undercrossing. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101FB U.S. 101 (111.2/112.5) – Drainage work is scheduled near Kane Road, north of Big Lagoon, on Friday, October 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect 5-minute delays. LC#C101AE Route 169 (32.1/33.3) – Drainage work is scheduled between Martins Ferry and Lower Weitchpec School Road. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C169FA Route 200 (0.5/2.7) – Nighttime utility work is scheduled near the 299 separation in McKiinleyville from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. through Friday, September 26. Expect up to 10-minute delays. LC#C200AA Route 254 (3.1/4) – Emergency work is scheduled near Phillipsville weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C254JA Route 254 (18.8) – Slide removal work is ongoing just north of Weott. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should expect 5-minute delays. LC#C254AA Route 254 (40.9/42.1) – Permit work is scheduled north of Redcrest between Patrick Dean Brinnon Memorial Grove and Helen High Daniels Grove weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#P254CA Route 299 (20.7/21.9) – Emergency work is scheduled near Chezem Road on Monday, September 29 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Expect up to 10-minute delays. LC#C299GA Route 299 (21/22.8) – Sign work is scheduled near Chezem Road. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should expect 5-minute delays. LC#C299RA Route 299 (24.9/25.9) – Emergency work is scheduled east of Chezem Road on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Expect one-way traffic control and 10-minute delays. LC#C299GA Route 299 (26.5/27.4) – Drainage work is scheduled west of the Berry Summit Vista Point. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays.
