By Carl DeMaio – April 7, 2025 I just received word that CA Assembly Democrats have called a hearing this Wednesday at 9am to kill our Voter ID bill! I need your help before then to fight back so we can pass CA Voter ID! WHY WEDNESDAY’S HEARING IS KEY: CA Democrats use committee hearings to kill bills because it prevents the bill from even being considered on the floor of the Assembly. This way only a handful of “safe” Democrats need to vote to kill it versus forcing their “vulnerable” members from having to vote on a popular issue and face consequences from voters. This is the same scheme CA Democrats used last week when they called a committee hearing to kill our bill to protect girls’ sports! Many politicians just roll over and accept failure when their bills are killed in committee – they say “But I tried…” Not me – and I assume not you either! I refuse to back down on the game-changing issue of Voter ID! But to keep fighting, I will need your help so our bill doesn’t just die in Wednesday’s committee hearing. I can’t do this alone – I need you to join me in this fight.
