By Linda Sutter – May 13, 2022 On or about May 9, 2022 at approximately 0900 hours on Peveler Avenue in the Bertsch tract, it is alleged the Del Norte Sheriff responded to a 5150 call which resulted in death. The sheriff's office to date has not sent out a press release. The residents of Del Norte have not been given any information on who the deceased is, who shot the deceased, or whether or not the officer is on Administrative Leave. This is an intentional act from the Del Norte Sheriff Office who should be providing some form of press release regarding this incident. In light of how the mentally ill are treated by the Sheriff's office with pictures of a mentally ill inmate cell, you would think the interim Sheriff would provide as many facts as is allowable by law to the public. Especially since this was another act toward the mentally ill.
