By Linda Sutter – February 25, 2022 Today at the Citizens Oversight Committee (COC) for the $25 million school bond, Chairman Steve Lyon wanted to vote on the COC report for 2019/2020. This report is overdue by two years. The report which was generated by Steve Lyon and Assistant Superintendent Jeff Napier demonstrated over $1/2 million dollars in errors. The attention of this error was brought on by the only board member paying attention. Angelina Countess-Bieber. Steve Lyon who is not only incompetent in conducting a meeting stated, “Well we will change the numbers and vote now to pass the COC report as good.” HOLD THE PHONE… what? You want the committee to take action on a fraudulent COC report? Gladly, let me tell you what I’m gonna do. I’m going to take this report to the State of California Controller office. What happened after that? Let’s table this, fix it, and vote on it next meeting. However, Steve Lyon was the only dissenting vote. By the way there were only 4 voting members which means there was no quorum. This is common practice of group who does not understand what is going on. Angelina Countess-Bieber once again saved the COC but does she gain respect from Steve Lyons?
