Dear Parade Participants, Please read this carefully: In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States, this year’s parade theme is "Del Norte Through the Decades," allowing entries to feature their decade of choice. We are also honored to announce that all participating past Grand Marshals will serve as this year's Grand Marshals. Supervisor Valerie Starkey is coordinating this group and can be reached at Valerie.starkey@co.del-norte.ca.us The deadline to submit your application is June 17, 2026. You can email it to chamber@delnorte.org or send it to 1080 Mason Mall STE 2, Crescent City, CA 95531. Due to road construction on Front Street, the Parade route has changed: The parade will proceed down H Street from 9th Street to Front Street (where the judging stand will be located), then turn right on Front Street and continue to D Street. Please Note the Following Rules & Safety Guidelines: Quiet Zone: A one-block "Quiet Zone" will be enforced on H Street between 3rd and 2nd Streets. Please turn off all sirens, music, horns, and muskets at 3rd Street to provide a safe space for noise-sensitive attendees. Sound may resume once you reach the post office. Driver Requirements: All drivers of moving vehicles must be of legal age and possess a valid California driver’s license. Candy Distribution: To ensure the safety of children and Fun Run participants, please do not throw candy from vehicles. If you wish to distribute candy, you must have walkers do so by hand. Please ensure all your drivers and participants are aware of this rule. Pace of Movement: To prevent delays and overheating vehicles, all entries must keep moving. Performances should be designed to move with the parade and may only stop briefly in front of the judging stand. Thank you for your cooperation. Let's make this another great parade year!
